or one-day ($10) license at check-in. All established USAT rules will be in
effect and will be strictly enforced.

NO headphones on the course
Race starts at 7:00 am-Transition and packet pick up open at 5:00 am
The race will start and finish at Martin Park.
There will be no refunds issued. Race will be held rain or shine.
Timing
We will be using Champion Chip timing this year from Platt Systems. You will
receive your chip at race check-in on race day. The chip is worn around your
ankle with a velcro strap throughout the event. You will pass over timing mats as
you enter and exit the transition area and at the finish line. You will hand your
chip in once you cross the finish line. Timing results will include your swim,
swim to bike transition, bike, bike to run transition, and run times.
Swim Course
The swim starts on the sandy beach at Martin park. It will be an age group wave
start. The course will be one clockwise loop marked with large orange buoys.
The buoys will be kept on your right. At the exit you will run across the beach,
down the paved path to the transition in the lower lot. There will be foot
washing bins at the bottom of the path.
Bike Course
The bike course is fast. Once you get out onto Limestone Rd. you will be able to
get comfortable in the aero position for at least 5 miles. Please be careful going
down Ridgebury Rd. There is a very sharp left turn on a steep hill. We will
have volunteers warning you. Please do not try to be a hero on this turn! The
course has changed a little bit from last year..we cut out Main St due to traffic
concerns. Check the map on the 2008 race page.
Run Course
The run is...well a 5k..It is rolling, with the last mile being flat, if not
downhill..Should be a nice change after last year's torture fest :) Fear not, the
first 2 miles have some decent hills, wouldn't want to make it too easy.
